Good analysis overall. However can’t help but feel author bias against cryptos and Blockchain technology. Your statement that nobody came up with a good use case except speculation is obviously a false one. We see many use cases coming out from crypto startups fueled by ICO funding. US regulations effectively pushed that innovation to other countries but innovation will still go on and we will see more of it in 2018. We are just getting started.
